Moodboard Monday :: Air-Inspired Palette { Savannah Wedding Planner }
Happy Monday, everyone!
Today’s inspiration image isn’t a moodboard per se, but it is an equally inspirational editorial shoot with a beautiful neutral palette. Its theme of “air” truly shines through in the ethereal quality of the gorgeous images captured by Photographs by Caileigh and styled as part of the Erich McVey Workshops. I highly encourage y’all to click here for the full gallery of images and credits.

Social Saturday :: What To Wear : Bridal Party Edition { Savannah Wedding Planner }
 Sweet readers,
Today’s question comes from one of our Fall 2015 brides:
“What do you ladies suggest for bridesmaid dresses when your bridesmaids all have different body types? I don’t love the look of the convertible wrap dresses (and don’t necessarily trust their picks will stay in line with my personal vision for the day) but still want all of my girls to feel as pretty  as I do in my gown?”

We all know your maids are amazing and would do anything for you except wear a dress that makes them look anything less than perfect. The last thing you want to do is make them think you’re not taking their valuable advice to heart or considering their feelings when choosing their attire for the day.
Here at DSS, we’ve found a foolproof way to keep it all kosher: let us choose your bridesmaids’ gowns, shoes, hair accessories, and makeup in keeping with your wedding vision! We’ll even email them, tell them where to be and when for each event associated with your wedding. Same goes for the guys! You needn’t worry – we’ll take care of everything for you and ensure everyone in your bridal party is happy as can be throughout the entire process.

Real Wedding Sunday :: Abby + Chris’ Bedroom { Savannah Wedding Planner }
Good afternoon, y’all!
We are excited to share this gorgeous bedroom install we did for one of our past wedding clients. Abby pretty much gave us total creative control {dream client!}, and the resulting loveliness is too good not to share. After pulling together items she already had with what some key missing elements, we spent less than $1,000! Without further adieu, feast your eyes on all the pretty as captured through Shannon Christopher’s talented lens.

Social Saturday :: Trimming the Budget { Savannah Wedding Planner }
Good afternoon, y’all!
One of the most frequent questions our clients continue to ask us is how to trim their wedding budget. Our number one recommendation to our clients is to talk it out with their partner and really find out what is most important to them – music, food, flowers, photography ? – and prioritize spending according to that.
If it’s all equally important, the main way to reduce your overall budget starts at the guest list, period. Take a good hard look at your guest list and weigh the importance of having everyone on it in attendance at your wedding or getting exactly what you want music/food/floral/venue-wise. Friday Faves :: Swoon-Worthy Arrangements Perfect For VDay { Savannah Wedding Planner }
Good morning, everyone!
First, we want to thank all of our amazing fellow vendors in the Savannah Wedding Industry who came out to our collaboration with Soho South Café last night. We had so much fun putting it all together and could not have been more happy with the turnout! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you – we can’t wait to see Soho South Café evolve as a premier venue in Savannah.
But on to our main topic of the day: FLOWERS. If there’s one thing we love more than a bouquet of beautiful blooms, it’s when those blooms are in the prettiest shades of pink and either arranged in a fancy vessel or tied with luxe ribbon. Following are some of our absolute favorites meeting that criteria.  As always, don’t forget to click on the images so you can drool over all the extra gorgeousness of the original post with full vendor credits. Enjoy!

Thursday Threads :: Our Fave Anthro Picks Under $100 { Savannah Wedding Planner }
Good morning, lovely readers!
It’s no secret that we are big fans of Anthropologie around here {aren’t we all, though?} but sadly our love has limits when it comes to the hefty price tag often affixed to their whimsical wares. To help us all out, our resident tastemaker Tristan has compiled her top favorite Anthro picks of the moment, all of which are under $100! Check it out:

Technical Tuesday :: Engagement Photo Sesh Attire { Savannah Wedding Planner }
Good afternoon, y’all!
Today’s post is all about what to wear for your Engagement Session. Commonly tacked onto your photographer’s wedding packages, an engagement session is a fantastic idea. Not only does it give you and your fiancé non-wedding related professional photos to display in your home or include in your wedding, but it also gives you a chance to get to know your photographer and get comfortable in front of the camera if you aren’t used to being photographed.
While you should strive for your own perfect mix of comfort and polished style, we have selected a few looks from this great article that epitomize the perfect engagement session outfits.

We love a neutral or black top with a full skirt. Color-blocking has never looked more refined than it does here paired with the perfect heel and rich, royal blue skirt.

For the unabashedly girly-girl, a light pink dress adorned with a bow and pearl earrings is as classic as it gets.

Don’t be afraid to wear all white in advance of your big day! Your engagement shoot is another way to express your bridal style. We love this edgy white leather jacket over a raw-hem linen dress with the dramatic impact of a monochromatic crop top and high-waisted trousers.

A sleek tuxedo jumpsuit is the ideal one-and-done outfit for a Parisian-inspired shoot {and for those of y’all who aren’t crazy about dresses}. Bonus points if the backdrop for your photos happens to be the actual Eiffel Tower!
