Real Wedding Sunday :: Alison + Nic { Savannah Wedding Planner }

This early Spring wedding has just the perfect combination of fresh peach tones + dusty gray greens.  Alison + Nic wed in Forsyth Park one early March weekend.  The newly budding and blooming park was the perfect backdrop for the couple’s nuptials, not to mention beautiful couple’s portraits.  Under the Spanish moss they exchanged their vows and then headed off to party the night away at Bryson Hall.  See all the Spring details below.

Real Wedding Sunday :: Jennifer + Karl { Savannah Wedding Planner }

Jennifer + Karl’s patriotic wedding only felt appropriate to share on this Independence Day weekend.  A color palette of red, white, and blue was evidenced in each little detail of this Spring fete.  The bride, Jennifer is part of the National Guard and her groom part of the military.  Both have such pride in their beloved country that they found nothing more appropriate than to share their adoration with their guests.  See below for some of the highlights from their very special day.

Good afternoon, y’all!
We are excited to share this gorgeous bedroom install we did for one of our past wedding clients. Without further adieu, feast your eyes on all the pretty as captured through Shannon Christopher’s talented lens.

Real Wedding Sunday :: Leslie + Ryan’s Railroad Museum Wedding { Savannah Wedding Planner }
Good morning, ladies and gentlemen!
Leslie and Ryan’s wedding {officiated by the groom’s father!} included one of the most fun receptions that we’ve ever attended – and keep in mind, we’ve been at this business for years. Leslie + Ryan truly got the fun vibe started early with bourbon-filled welcome baskets and kept the party going through a reception that featured a live rock band and had everyone on their feet! Lang Thomas Photography did an amazing job of capturing the true essence of the day and we are so grateful for it. Enjoy!

Real Wedding Sunday :: Abby + Chris ( Savannah Wedding Planner)
Afternoon!
We’re over the moon to feature the gorgeous nuptials of Abby Wellen + Chris Bruno, whose April 26, 2014 wedding at Lafayette Square and Vic’s on the River we were privileged to design and coordinate.
We are particularly blessed to have some extra information on their spring, Savannah-garden-inspired nuptials from their lead designer + coordinator, Alysse Sweeney:
Abby and Chris are Northerners who not only married in Savannah but now call the Hostess City of the South home.   Shortly after their move to Savannah, Chris found the perfect place to propose to Abby: their front yard, which also happens to be Lafayette Square.  Thus when it became time to begin wedding planning, what could be more apropos than having the ceremony in Lafayette Square? Abby + Chris’ closest family and friends gathered on the perfect April day to see the two unite in a ceremony that can only be described as whimsical.  Standing under their birch chuppah with the wind fluttering the ribbons in celebration, Abby and Chris were reminded of those who could not be present with them and knew that special touches had been included so that they were indeed there in spirit.
The embroidery hoops that hung from the chuppah were in place to pay homage to paternal and maternal grandmothers’ careers as seamstresses.  Abby adorned a vintage button, from her Grandmother’s favorite coat, hanging from satin blue ribbon inside her dress that acted as her something old, borrowed, and blue.  At the conclusion of the ceremony, guests were treated to a guided trolley tour of Savannah and delivered to Vic’s on the River for the reception.  Abby + Chris enjoyed their first dance outside along Factor’s Walk with the gold dome of City Hall acting as the backdrop.  Guests imbibed plenty of delicious libations and dined on Southern favorites such as Fried Green Tomatoes and Shrimp and Grits.  Later in the evening, Abby and Chris, along with their immediate family, gathered at 109 West {a local rental home} for dessert and dancing.   Abby and Chris succeeded in not only further uniting their love on that special day in April but they also showed their Northern guests one heck of a Southern fete!
